Karwar (Karnataka) The serene Chendia village in Karwar taluk, near the Ice Factory, is alive with fervent religious fervor as it hosts the 14th edition of the Durga Devi Utsava, a celebration that has grown into a beacon of rural development and cultural conservation.

Marking its 14th year, the festival draws swelling crowds of devotees each season, blending spiritual rituals with vibrant community spirit. At the heart of this year’s observance is the meticulously crafted idol of Goddess Durga, a testament to the unwavering artistry of local sculptor Shri Ravi Naik.

For the past 14 years, Naik has poured his dedication into shaping the deity’s form, capturing her ethereal beauty and profound emotion through intricate clay work.
