Bhandari community urged to provide accurate details in government survey

Karwar: In light of the govt’s social and educational survey of backward classes, Mohan S. Kindalkar, President of the Karwar Taluk Bhandari Samajonnati Sangh, urged the Bhandari community to clearly state their religion as Hindu, caste as Bhandari (BHANDARI A0130), and not to specify any sub-caste, with the traditional occupation being toddy tapping.

Speaking at a meeting held at the Bhandari community hall in Kodibag, he mentioned, “The survey will aid in the educational and economic interests of the community. Therefore, everyone should provide accurate information.

Keshav Pednekar, Praveen Manjekar, Mahesh Tamse, Sudhakar Mahekar, Taranath Vaingankar, Sadanand, Ranjan Tamse, Saikiran N. Babrekar, and other community leaders were present at the meeting.
