Potholes on the Highway: Public Protest through Mock Demonstration on National Highway 52

Ankola (Karnataka) – The public staged a protest in the form of a street play on National Highway 52 between Ankola and Yallapura due to the presence of potholes.

This major road, connecting Mangalore and Hubballi, sees thousands of vehicles daily. The potholes have been causing obstructions to vehicle movement and have also led to an increase in accidents.

The public conducted a mock demonstration on the highway itself to protest against the shameful negligence of officials and elected representatives. Through street plays, they raised awareness about the severity of the pothole situation.

During the protest, the highway was blocked for some time, resulting in temporary disruptions to traffic.

In light of the public’s outrage, they demanded that the concerned department take immediate action.
