Public Can Self-Declare Information for Social and Educational Survey

By The News Observer Desk

Karwar: The Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes has initiated a comprehensive survey to collect accurate data on the social and educational status of all citizens in the state. The survey, which has already begun, will continue until October 7.

Enumerators are visiting identified households to conduct the survey. Additionally, to facilitate public participation, a provision has been made for citizens to self-declare their household information.

The public can participate in the social and educational survey by visiting https://kscbcselfdeclaration.karnataka.gov.in/ and completing the self-declaration process.

Upon accessing the link, users should select the “Citizen” option, which will prompt a login. After entering their mobile number, an OTP will be sent to the registered number, which must be entered to proceed.

The subsequent page will display the status of the survey for the household, indicating whether it is complete or pending. If the survey is pending and no family members have been added, a message will prompt users to start filling out the form by clicking “Start New Survey.”

On the next page, users need to enter the UHID number found on the sticker already affixed to their house and provide the requested information as prompted on the screen.

As the survey requires document-based information, citizens are advised to keep their family members’ ration card, Aadhaar card, voter ID, and, if applicable, UID card or disability certificate ready. This will enable them to easily participate in the survey process themselves. Upon successful completion of the survey, a confirmation message will be sent to the registered mobile number.

Instead of waiting for enumerators to visit, the public can participate in the survey at their convenience from any location. By self-declaring their information, citizens can accurately report their economic and social status without any confusion, ensuring precise data collection for the survey.
