Chain Collision Claims One Life, Truck Overturns on Goa Highway

Joida (Karnataka):  A tragic serial accident on the Ramanagara-Anmod-Goa highway at Tinai Ghat claimed the life of one person and left several others seriously injured on Wednesday, authorities confirmed.

The incident unfolded when a private  bus en route from Ramanagara to Goa attempted to overtake an oncoming truck, leading to a head-on collision with a pickup vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. The pickup’s driver succumbed to injuries on the spot.

The collision caused a domino effect, damaging a  motor bike trailing the pickup and entangling all involved vehicles. The truck driver lost control, resulting in the vehicle overturning.

Passengers aboard the bus, among others, sustained grievous injuries in the mishap. Local police at Ramanagar station have registered a case and are investigating the sequence of events, with emergency services rushing the wounded to nearby hospitals.
