
Karwar Police Observe Grand Ayudha Pooja Ceremony Amid Dasara Festivities

Karwar (Karnataka): In a vibrant display of tradition and devotion, the District Armed Reserve Force in Karwar marked the auspicious occasion of Ayudha Puja on Wednesday, offering special rituals to weapons and vehicles as part of the ongoing Dasara celebrations.
The ceremony, led by District Police Superintendent Deepan, saw personnel reverently consecrate all departmental arms, ammunition, and fleet of vehicles. Drawing from age-old customs tied to the nine-day Navratri festival, the event underscored the symbolic reverence for tools of duty, a practice faithfully upheld annually to invoke prosperity and protection.
Participating alongside Superintendent Deepan were Additional Superintendent of Police Krishnamurthy and officers and staff from various police units, who joined in disciplined formation to honor the rituals. Their involvement highlighted the force’s commitment to both operational readiness and cultural heritage.
As an integral element of Dasara, the puja serves as a reminder of the police’s role in safeguarding society, with participants extending homage to their equipment in a bid to preserve and promote India’s rich traditions.
