Dandeli: In a thrilling encounter that underscores the region’s vibrant wildlife, a leopard was spotted on a road near Ganeshgudi, approximately 10 kilometers from Dandeli, captivating tourists and being recorded on their mobile phone cameras.
The incident unfolded near the 10th Number Bridge as a group of tourists traveled through the area. The elusive big cat suddenly appeared, striding directly in front of their vehicle. Eyewitnesses described how the leopard paused by the roadside, its eyes reflecting the vehicle’s approaching lights, before cautiously proceeding a short distance along the road and seamlessly vanishing into the dense forest nearby.
In a matter of seconds, the leopard had crossed the road and disappeared into the woods, leaving the tourists in awe of the rare sighting.
