Yellapur: Car Rams into Compound Wall, Catches Fire-  Occupants Escape Unhurt

Yellapur (Karnataka):  A car burst into flames after crashing into a retaining wall on the national highway at Arabail Ghat in Yellapur taluk, in Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka state, on Tuesday.

The incident occurred when Rupesh Naik was driving a Duster car towards Kumta. The driver lost control, causing the vehicle to collide with the retaining wall. The impact triggered a short circuit, leading to the car catching fire and being completely gutted within minutes.

Both occupants of the car managed to escape unharmed, displaying quick presence of mind to exit the vehicle before the fire spread.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Yellapur police and fire brigade personnel rushed to the scene and successfully extinguished the blaze. A case has been registered at the Yellapur police station in connection with the incident.
